The Royal, nestled in the beautiful setting of the South Downs is the perfect setting for any event. We can accommodate wedding receptions, business meetings, seminars, as well as private functions and parties.

With two rooms to choose from we are able to accommodate large or small groups for all occasions.

The restaurant has earned a fine reputation for the quality of its cuisine and fine wines. Our friendly staff are on hand to ensure your day runs smoothly with the highest level of service.

FROM THE NORTH VIA THE A22

Pass all turnings to Hailsham and continue to a major roundabout where you follow the signs for Willingdon (3rd exit) A2270. Pass through two traffic lights within 150 metres at Polegate and follow the A2270 to Eastbourne. On reaching a large roundabout, follow the signs for the Town Centre (2nd exit). At the next traffic lights, turn right into Victoria Drive and proceed to, and cross straight over, the next traffic lights into Summerdown Road. When the road bears to the right, turn left into Paradise Drive (there are brown tourist signs to Royal Eastbourne Golf Club). After 200 yards you will find the entrance to the Club on your right.



FROM BRIGHTON & LEWES VIA A27

At the first traffic lights on the outskirts of Polegate, turn right onto the A270 towards

Eastbourne, and follow instructions as above.



FROM BRIGHTON & NEWHAVEN VIA A259

Travelling eastwards along the A259 coast road, descend a steep hill into Eastbourne. Turn

right at the traffic lights into Summerdown Road and follow instructions as above.



FROM HASTINGS VIA A259

After Little Common & Cooden, at first roundabout near Pevensey, take the 2nd exit towards Brighton. Continue to a large roundabout north of Polegate, and follow the signs for Willingdon (3rd exit) A2270, and then on towards Eastbourne as above.
