The Len Phillips Big Band are back in Eastbourne this June and this year they will be joined by Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman for a celebration of the music from the Palais, Ballroom and Dance Hall days. This will be the band's eighth annual concert here and will see them return to the Winter Garden.
Mr Goodman will compere a programme paying tribute to the bands of Ken Mackintosh, Geraldo and of course Ted Heath and His Music. Expect to hear such classics as The Creep, Hot Toddy and Opus One with Len’s anecdotes. The band will be joined by two great singers so all your favourite songs will be present too. Heard regularly on BBC Radio 2, the band is made up of top London session players, award winning jazz musicians and veteran pros who have between them played with Sinatra, Crosby, Bassey, Heath, Dankworth and Mackintosh to name but a few.
