A One Man Play about the legend comedian, Frankie Howard starring Paul Harris.
Paul Harris has been in the entertainment business since he was a teenager. He started as an actor in repertory and later moved on to the light entertainment scene where he played most of the major venues in Britain as principal comedian in summer shows, variety, cabaret and music hall and pantomime.
He started writing comedy in the 1980’s when he was commissioned to write sketches for ‘The Two Ronnies’ television series. Since then he has written for radio, television, the stage and various magazines. In 1996 his book about pantomime was published. ‘The Pantomime Book’ quickly became ‘the bible’ for pantomime producers and actors and is still in print and selling twenty years later.
Paul has also written a play about the great singers around in the 1940s and 50s called ‘Love Songs and Legends’ and a book about the dark side of the entertainment industry called ‘Beyond the Glitter’. He has written and presented for BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service and for thirteen years presented a weekly programme for BBC Radio Kent.
He wrote ‘Titter Ye Not’ in 1999 and it has had three successful tours over the years. This one-man play has now been updated to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of this iconic comedian.
