Growing status as a film location

Eastbourne, known for its traditional Victorian seafront and outstanding area of natural beauty with the South Downs providing a stunning backdrop, is becoming increasingly popular with movie makers and TV producers.

Famous names have graced Eastbourne Pier, Beachy Head, Holywell Beach, Eastbourne Bandstand, our seafront hotels and more.

One-stop Movie Shop

With the resort's Film Liaison Unit providing a one-stop-shop for anything needed when it comes to shooting films, TV programmes, adverts and music videos, Eastbourne offers an efficient service where nothing is too much trouble!

Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging

The makers of 2008's Brit summer blockbuster, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging were so impressed with the seaside town that they decided to set the film here with the characters referring to Eastbourne throughout. With the film since released around the world, Eastbourne is well and truly on the map and visitors can see for themselves the locations featured in the movie.

Harry Potter, Notes on a Scandal and Little Britain

The resort has also been used over recent years to shoot scenes from Harry Potter, Notes on a Scandal and TV's Miss Marple with top film companies all vying for the seaside resort's charming setting.

Little Britain's ‘ladies' shot a famous scene on the Carpet Garden lined promenade, Michael Caine appeared in Last Orders on Eastbourne Pier, and Texas set their music video ‘In Demand' on Beachy Head Road.
