Glyndebourne Opera HouseTheatreIn the peaceful countryside, the British tradition of summer opera at Glyndebourne continues in an exciting new opera house which opened in May 1994. The Glyndebourne Festival Opera Company's new home has a traditional horseshoe shaped auditorium with three curved balconies. The 1,200 seats share an amazing intimacy with the stage. The dominant material in the auditorium is wood, which adds to the warmth and intimate atmosphere, in addition to helping create the outstanding acoustical properties of the room. There is a full stage sized rehearsal space. The dressing rooms, green room and workshops overlook beautiful gardens.GlyndeLewesEast SussexBN8 5UUUnited Kingdom50.8775539651000.062519085200http://www.visiteastbourne.com/?dms=3&pid=
