By road: Glyndebourne is situated 54 miles south of London, 11 miles from Brighton, and 4 miles from Lewes. Patrons coming by car from London should allow at least two and a half hours driving time, from crossing the Thames to Glyndebourne. The best route is by the M23 to Brighton, then the A27 towards Lewes. On the by-pass, avoid Lewes town centre and take the A26 Tunbridge Wells road at the second roundabout. Fork right onto the B2192, and just before Ringmer village take the next right turn, signposted to Glyndebourne.
