ELAC Study VacationsELAC Study Vacations

Elac Study Vacations is a small, but growing English Language School. It was established in 1991 in Eastbourne and initially ran a family stay course here. In 2000 Elac opened its first residential summer school at Eastbourne College.

Though Elac has grown as an organisation in recent years, the company still has the virtues of a small family-run business: a personal service, a high standard of care and welfare, attention to detail and a focus on quality. We are on the UK government list of approved English Language providers and we are also fully accredited by the British Council.

Each summer we provide residential and family stay courses for around 3,500 students from Italy, Spain, France, Austria, Poland, Russia, Turkey, China and Japan. We also have developing links in a number of other countries, and the international aspect of our courses is important.

ELAC STUDY VACATIONS AT EASTBOURNE COLLEGE
Old Wish Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN21 4JY

Elac students now have a wonderful opportunity to take full advantage of the very special environment that a traditional English school of this quality can offer. The classrooms are spacious and well equipped and the large modern dining hall offers excellent food. Sports facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, large sports hall/gymnasium, as well as grass and all weather playing surfaces. The college also has a number of tennis courts which have been newly re-laid.

Residential accommodation is in houses located throughout the campus and these are no more than a few minutes’ walk from all facilities. Most rooms are singles or twins, with some triples. Accommodation with families is also available and Elac families are chosen with great care by our accommodation officer, and are all known to us personally. They offer a warm welcome and a secure environment.

Our family stay centre in Eastbourne is based at St Andrews School, a spacious, secure and attractive site close to the sea front in a peaceful residential area. The buildings are a mixture of traditional and modern styles, with light, airy classrooms and good IT provision. Students can gather in the large gym and assembly hall, and eat their lunch in the modern dining room. Sports facilities include extensive playing fields, tennis courts and an indoor heated swimming pool.

Living with a British family is a good way to get an insight into another culture and another way of life. Elac families are chosen with great care by our accommodation officer, and are all known to us personally. They offer a warm welcome and a secure environment.
