Sat 14 Apr 2012 to Sun 30 Sep 2012

Spring landscape photography course run at the beautiful Cuckmere Haven for up to 10 people.

We meet at the Seven Sisters Country Park Carpark (the side of the green telephone box) and walk along the river as it meanders towards the sea. As it gets lighter we will set up our cameras to capture the beauty of the river and as we get nearer the ocean we will (hopefully) be able to catch the sun rising over the sea. We will also head up to the top of Haven Brow (the first of the seven sisters) and photograph the view out to the ocean and back to the valley which really is a beautiful sight.

I can teach you about what settings to use for landscape photography and how to achieve good balanced exposures. I also can teach you about creative ways to frame your landscapes. The group is fairly small so I can spend time with each of you helping you with your specific photographic needs. I will be on hand at all times for any questions you have.

My goal is that you come away with a much better understanding of your camera and landscape photography. Hopefully some great photos too!

What do you need to bring?

- A camera that has 'manual' and 'aperture priority' modes. Ideally a digital SLR or a very high-end compact camera

- A tripod

- Some sensible clothing: wellington boots and a rain proof jacket

- A flask of tea!

FAQs:

Q. I use a film camera, is that okay?

A. Absolutely, no problem at all.

Q. What happens if it rains?

A. If the weather looks bad the day before, I will ask that you check your email before leaving in case I have had to cancel. If it?s pouring hard then there is no point in trying to run the course and in which case it will be re-scheduled.

Q. I'm not so good on my feet these days, is this okay?

A. I'm afraid not, part of the course will involve some walking and the terrain will be varied.

Q. Can I bring a friend?

A. Of course, either book 2 tickets if you both intend to take photos or just 1 if your friend is just for moral support or to carry your gear!
