The Beachy Head Marathon is one the biggest off-road marathons in the UK. Formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon, it is popular for its scenic and challenging route through the South Downs countryside. Great for runners, joggers or walkers looking to get fit.

Marathon Returns Saturday 23 October 2010
Congratulations to Stuart Mills, first runner home in 3:03 and first lady Samantha Alvarez in 3:27. The Beachy Head Marathon returns next year on 23 October, entries open in the spring.

Victory for Stuart in 2009
The Beachy Head Marathon took place on Saturday 24 October with 1,750 competitors from across the globe. Stuart Mills crossed the finish line first tolling up a sixth victory. Find reviews and past footage here.

Junior Beachy Head Challenge
Younger runners can test their cross country skills in the Beachy Head Challenge. Starts at 9.30am for 3km run (12 - 16 year olds) and 10.15am for 2km run (8-11 year olds). Congratulations to 2009 winners Luke McWilton (3km) and Ryan Welch (2km).

Route
Tour the South Downs and cheer on runners with best views from Checkpoint 2 (Bo-Peep), Checkpoint 4 (Birling Gap) and along Beachy Head Road. Marathon starts at 9am.
