The Beachy Head Marathon is one the biggest off-road marathons in the UK. Formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon, it is popular for its scenic and challenging route through the South Downs countryside. Great for runners, joggers or walkers looking to get fit.
Congratulations to 2008 winner Stuart Mills who crossed the finish in 3:02, and also to first lady Jackie Hartwell in a formidable 3:41!

Victory for Stuart in 2008
Last year's Beachy Head Marathon took place on Saturday 25 October with 1,750 competitors from across the globe. Stuart Mills crossed the finish line first tolling up a fifth victory. Find a full list of results here.

Junior Beachy Head Challenge
Younger runners can test their cross country skills in the Beachy Head Challenge. Starts at 9.30am for 3km run (12 - 16 year olds) and 10.15am for 2km run (8-11 year olds), start from outside St Bedes School.

Route
Tour the South Downs and cheer on runners with best views from Checkpoint 2 (Bo-Peep), Checkpoint 4 (Birling Gap) and along Beachy Head Road. Marathon starts at 9am.
