Eastbourne is unveiling its brand new 2017 holiday guide as it aims to attract audiences from around the world to the UK’s sunniest resort, following its launch at leading European tourism exhibition, Vakantiebeurs.

Eastbourne Holiday Guide 2017

The latest edition of the free holiday brochure is bursting with inspiration and ideas for an unforgettable break in the south coast sun trap, whether it’s for a romantic getaway or a fun filled family holiday.

The brochure, which can be ordered through a direct response advertising campaign, downloaded online or picked up at Tourist Information Centre’s around the UK, launched last week at Vakantiebeurs, the leading Dutch tourism exhibition which attracts over 120,000 Dutch, Belgian and French jetsetters in search of their next holiday destination. The guide shines a light on Eastbourne’s top attractions, locally run businesses and a whole host of accommodation, from luxury hotels to cosy B&B’s. Alongside the international exhibition, the brochure will also be showcased at the long running UK travel exhibition, Excursions, on 28 January.

Attracting visitors to Eastbourne, whether it’s in the scorching summer for Airbourne’s 25th anniversary or walking in wellies throughout the South Downs National Park, the pages also unveil Eastbourne’s secret gardens, thrilling new events to mark in the calendar and inspiration for fuss-free group days out.

Eastbourne Borough Council Lead Cabinet Member for Tourism and Enterprise, Cllr Margaret Bannister said “Eastbourne is a one of a kind destination that appeals to all audiences, offering brilliant value and variety. Whether you’re planning a family holiday with toddlers or teenagers, a relaxing retreat or seeking a new adventure, the holiday guide takes the stress out of planning a break and will leave you feeling inspired and eager to explore.”

“With exciting new developments underway, including an art transformation of the Devonshire Quarter and expansion of the Arndale Centre, there’s is plenty to keep visitors returning as Eastbourne continues to grow whilst retaining its charm and culture.”

The double page spread, “2017 Highlights”, boasts Eastbourne’s impressive events line up. With milestone anniversaries such as 25 years of Airbourne and 30 years of 999 Emergency Services Display, this year is set to be the biggest yet as brand new events also emerge on the scene including Mardi Gras and the Hot Air Balloon Festival.

For those with New Year’s resolutions, the guide’s ‘A New You’ page offers a whole host of ways to rejuvenate the mind, body and soul while in Eastbourne. There are plenty of suggestions on where to relax with blissful spa treatments or workshops to hone a new skill. Whether it is cooking gastronomical delights at The Cookshelf or getting creative with clay pottery at the Art House café, the guide is brimming with experiences.

Eastbourne’s sunny scenes have been brought to life with impressive new photography alongside production stills from a series of mini films which were filmed with television presenter, Michaela Strachan, in autumn last year for a digital marketing campaign. Three separate themed videos were created – coast and shore, food and drink and heritage and culture, all showcasing must see places in the Eastbourne area. The colourful stills encourage visitors to take a look online at the special videos with the much-loved TV presenter which are available at www.visiteastbourne.com/michaela from the campaign.

Once visitors have unpacked their bags, they can get their hands on the sister publication, the Eastbourne Resort Guide. This is the essential pocket guide for holidaymakers featuring bitesize tips and contact details on Eastbourne's must-do attractions, delightful places to eat and drink as well as places to stay. New to this year's resort guide is the exclusive offers page providing discounts to top local attractions.
