Become a Friend of Airbourne and Support the Seafront Airshow

Fans of the World's biggest FREE seafront airshow are being given the opportunity to sign up and become a Friend of Airbourne to receive a host of benefits plus entry into an exclusive area at the event this August.

Brand new for 2009, Airbourne organisers, Eastbourne Borough Council, are inviting airshow enthusiasts to become a Friend and pledge their support to the seafront event now entering its 17th year.

With three levels of membership available; bronze, silver and gold, fans of the airshow can join the Friends of Airbourne initiative to ensure that they're the first to hear the latest event news and will receive the official 2009 souvenir programme.

Director of Tourism for Eastbourne Borough Council, Norman Kinnish said "The Friends of Airbourne membership packages are an excellent idea and something we're very excited about rolling out to the thousands of visitors that come to the airshow every year. With various benefits according to which level of membership is taken, the most enthusiastic fans will get the chance to enjoy all of the flying action from an exclusive area, with gold and silver members also getting a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the pilots."

Bronze members can join for free and this will replace the current Friends of Airbourne sign-up scheme, which is run through the official airshow website, eastbourneairshow.com.

With over 6,000 free members already signed up, fans will continue to have the facility to register online to receive the latest news, exclusive competitions and special offers through regular e-newsletters.

However avid fans of the airshow will now have the chance to go one step further and upgrade to become a silver or gold friend by buying a membership package from Eastbourne's official tourism website, VisitEastbourne.com.

Silver membership is priced at just £10 and in return Friends will receive the 2009 Airbourne programme, an Airbourne radio headset, a goody bag, entry into two prize draws and a 2-hour meet the pilot slot.

And for those visitors that want to experience an extra special day out when Airbourne returns from 13-16 August, visitors can sign up to become a Gold Friend where they will receive all of the Silver benefits plus entry into a monthly prize draw and entry into an exclusive Friends area on the day of their choice at this year's Airbourne for just £25 per adult or £12.50 per child.

A gold corporate package is also available for EHA and Chamber of Commerce members at a discounted rate of £22.
