VisitEastbourne Gears Up for Holiday Deals

Eastbourne's official tourism website VisitEastbourne.com is launching a new series of special offers as the resort prepares for a bumper summer season ahead.

 

Special prices on accommodation for the Eastbourne Festival, Magnificent Motors Snooze & Cruise, Tennis Qualifying Offers, Extreme Deals, Amazing Airbourne Offers and Super Speed Days Savings are just some of the campaigns coming up over the next few months as Eastbourne's events season gets underway.

 

With all offers bookable online through VisitEastbourne.com, the resort is hoping that affordable breaks linked to major dates in the town's events calendar will encourage even more visitors during 2009.

 

Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Susan Morris said "This year is definitely the year for British Tourism and we want to do everything we can to make sure Eastbourne sees as many visitors as possible as the trend for UK holidays hits an all time high. With forecasters predicting huge surges in British holidays as the cost of going abroad continues to rise, we have used our tourism website to put together some very tempting packages for Eastbourne visitors. Not only is Eastbourne the sunniest place in the country rivalling some of its overseas counterparts, but we have a bumper events calendar too; visitors certainly have plenty of reasons to holiday on the south coast."

 

VisitEastbourne has teamed up with its accommodation providers to put together some great package savings based around the resort's events season.

 

Kicking it off this month is the Eastbourne Festival taking place from 11-26 April and visitors looking for a last minute break can opt for deals at The Waterside Boutique Hotel, Big Sleep, Eastbourne Centre, or a murder mystery package at The Mowbray.

 

Next month the south coast's biggest free motoring festival is held on Eastbourne seafront from 2-3 May and visitors booking for the Magnificent Motors weekend can choose from a range of ‘Snooze & Cruise' deals online. From 3 nights for the price of 2 to a package price for the whole weekend; visitors can make huge savings off the rack rates.

 

VisitEastbourne only launched its first online offers in January this year and already they have generated an additional 22,000 hits to the website and bookings totalling more than £1,600.

 

With new offers continuing to be added to the site every week, VisitEastbourne is making the most of the current economic climate and using the weak pound, lure of its major events, and affordable deals from accommodation providers to attract new visitors to the seaside resort throughout 2009.
