ILTC Garden Party Showcases Conference Venues

11 June 2008

Garden Party

Eastbourne is getting ready to host a Garden Party with a difference as the town's Conference Bureau invite businesses from around the UK to an open day showcasing the resort's business facilities.

More than 2,500 invites have been sent to companies up and down the country inviting them to a Garden Party at the International Lawn Tennis Centre (ILTC) this summer. Taking place on 1 July and celebrating the birthday of Devonshire Park, past clients and prospective new businesses are being offered the opportunity to meet the team behind Eastbourne Conference Bureau and Events, network with conference and event service suppliers, and enjoy nibbles, refreshments and live entertainment.

Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said "The ILTC open day is an excellent opportunity for the Conference Bureau to meet with various companies and present the wide range of options available for conferences and events in Eastbourne. As well as being an informative event, the day also offers the chance for local businessmen to drop in, have a chat with the team and enjoy the chilled out atmosphere. The ILTC is a truly unique venue and this is our chance to really show it off."

Visitors attending the open day will be offered tours of the ILTC, and can take the opportunity to have a look round the rest of the Devonshire Park Centre. Eastbourne's main conference venue, the Devonshire Park Centre comprises the Congress Theatre, Winter Garden, Congress Suite, Devonshire Park Halls and ILTC.

A first class sporting venue, the ILTC hosts top international tennis stars during the International Women's Open each June. Playing host to players including Lindsay Davenport, Justine Henin, and Martina Navratilova, the ILTC presents a first class venue outside of the tennis season.

The contemporary sporting centre adds to the conference facilities available at the Devonshire Park Centre, extending the choice of event and function rooms, and providing additional breakout space.

Local conference service suppliers will also be on hand at the ILTC Garden Party to talk to anybody interested in hosting their event in the town, with advice on any extras needed to make their function run smoothly.

Open from 11am - 8pm, visitors can drop in any time, on their lunch break or after work.
