22 January 2009

One of the south coast's premier conference destinations is getting ready to exhibit at Confex, the country's leading event for event organisers.

The successful Eastbourne Conference Bureau are getting ready to exhibit at International Confex at London's Earls Court next month from 24-26 February. Teaming up with local AV and Exhibition specialists, Missing Link and PMX Design Consultants, Eastbourne Conference Bureau are looking forward to sourcing new contacts and meeting potential clients ready to bring new business into Eastbourne.

Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said "Confex has a fantastic reputation in the business industry and this presents an excellent opportunity to showcase the variety of venues that Eastbourne offers and get people to consider holding their event here. It also gives event organisers the chance to actually meet the team behind Eastbourne Conference Bureau, have a chat and find out about the services we offer and how we will make the perfect destination for their event."

Missing Link and PMX Design Consultants will be sharing the space with Eastbourne Conference Bureau after sponsoring a brand new exhibition stand. With laptops on site displaying the official Conference Eastbourne website with links to the online brochure, new business will be tempted by the range of venues on offer, large number of bed spaces, as well as the scope for out of hours delegate activities.

With Eastbourne offering over 7,500 bed spaces at a range of accommodation; from the resort's 5-star Grand Hotel through to the traditional bed and breakfast, visitors to the event will be pleasantly surprised by what they find.

Offering a completely free venue finding service and with Eastbourne's brand new art gallery, Towner, opening in the spring and providing additional exhibition space for future events, the resort has a number of stand out features.

From the town's main conference venue the Devonshire Park Centre offering over 2,500m? exhibition space and facilities for up to 1,700 delegates, through to the Culinary Arts Studio offering unique training space, the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club set in a spectacular marina village, and the medieval Herstmonceux Castle.
