The week-long event will take residency at Beach Life Festival 16 – 17 July before journeying to The Underground Theatre and South Street for the rest of the week, where the eclectic mix of music will continue!

The festival will also be featuring popular event Little Music Marathon on Friday 22nd which has grown significantly this year, doubling the line-up to 16 acts performing across 8 venues in Little Chelsea, all free of charge. Both bands and singer songwriters will have a 20 minute slot to showcase their talent before moving onto another venue, while audience members can choose to settle in one spot or follow their favourite act throughout the night.

The Eagle, Maxims, Dolphin and Dew Drop are hosting half of the event with new additions Roots, Mamma Mi, Beanz and Eucalyptus & Paprika Tea House stepping up as alternative music venues for this year.

Local rock ‘n’ roll band The Shards will be upping the tempo across the evening while Brighton boy Jack Pout brings folk/blues to the table. Audiences can also appreciate a post punk sound with Zachary Dogwood, acoustic folk with Eastbourne based band The Spooky Wagons and Americana/blues from Sussex Duo Strum n Bass, amongst many more that will be joining the non-stop programme.

Eastbourne Borough Council Lead Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism and Enterprise, Cllr Margaret Bannister said, “We are very excited to welcome Music Live back into the events programme this year. It’s a fantastic opportunity for local talent to shine and for hidden gems, such as our pubs and eateries, to be discovered!”

The Underground Theatre will also be hosting live music throughout the week, with specific genres taking over the stage from Monday to Friday. Home-grown talent Tom Fitzpatrick opens the residency with a sensational Swing night dedicated to the great Frank Sinatra on the 18th, and on Tuesday the stage will be home to an Americana evening featuring Pocket Size and local support The Equatorial Group.

On Wednesday One Night of SKA will take over playing homage to the influential era of SKA, starring the hugely talented Gerry Slattery - former band member of Boy George Band, Rubettes and Showaddywaddy.

Thursday brings the Blues to town with local boys Smokestack, whilst Friday features a Heavy Metal night alongside Little Music Marathon.

Beach Life Festival will welcome Red Hot Chilli Peppers tribute Give It Away to the live beach stage as well as bringing well-known 90s dance/techno group L.A.R.G.E back to the stage. Local bands Knocksville, Ivy Fire and Cardboard Hit will also join the bill.
