Back for its third consecutive year taking place on Friday 21st July, six well known popular Eastbourne venues will be hosting the thirteen outstanding regional artists, taking to the stage to entertain visitors.

The Little Music Marathon caters for all, with a variety of genres from Americana to The Pogues-style folk punk, solo performers to folk duos, and Indie to Blues Rock.

Featuring American folk outfit Pocketsize and the harmonic melodies of Cracks in the Land, music fans can also enjoy original music from Harvey Bourne, 40 Shillings On The Drum, Milton Hide, Neil Grimes, Ben Westwood, Manouevre, Gaz Shemza, Grace & Danger, Josh Garraway, Strum N Bass and The Normans.

With venues close by in Little Chelsea, visitors can access as many locations and watch as many performances as they wish. The South Street and Grove Road based venues hosting this phenomenal event include Maxims, Dew drop, The Dolphin, Printers, The Eagle and the hidden gem of Eastbourne’s art scene the Under Ground Theatre.

Eastbourne Borough Council Lead Cabinet Member for Tourism and Enterprise, Cllr Margaret Bannister said “Eastbourne is full of sheer talent, this is an ideal event to showcase local performers and help boost their fan base, also supporting some of our local venues for a night of pure enjoyment for all.”

The acts will perform three times for 20 minutes at each venue, with a 20 minute break between acts allowing visitors to follow their favourite performers or just switch up their venue for a change of scenery.

From the success of 2016, this year is expected to be bigger and better. Visitors are advised to get down to the venues early to get front row seats and avoid disappointment.

The Little Music Marathon contributes to Eastbourne Music live, a week starting 15th-22nd July celebrating the very best of Eastbourne’s live music here on the sunshine coast. Beach Life starts the week off with a bang hosting a live music stage all weekend, allowing visitors to let their hair down and enjoy the raw talent on offer.
