Brit Award Nominated Stooshe to Headline Airbourne Live Stage

6 July 2016

Airbourne Live returns to Eastbourne International Airshow with four days of live music on the beach from 11 – 14 August, including the UK top ten charting girl band ‘Stooshe’.

The Brit Award nominated trio, whose hits include the top 3 single ‘Black Heart’ and their top 5 Travie McCoy collaboration ‘Love Me’, will be performing on Saturday evening on the beach stage, just after the day’s flying programme concludes.

Joining Stooshe in the line-up, is Brighton’s popular X-Factor contestant Chloe Paige who performs on Sunday, alongside a Heart hosted evening, with a twilight pyro-aerobatic flying display and firework finale, both returning to their traditional end of show slot on Sunday night.

Eastbourne Borough Council Lead Cabinet Member for Tourism and Enterprise, Cllr Margaret Bannister said “Airbourne Live was a huge success last year, so much so that this year we can enjoy not one, but two evenings of headline acts! It’s great to see our first girl band headliner on Saturday, and on Sunday, the combination of a DJ hosted beach party, twilight aerobatics and fireworks will be a fitting finale to this year’s airshow.”

With live music before and after the flying programme each day, the free event gives visitors more reasons to stay longer into the evening and visit more Airbourne ground attractions, along with restaurants and other local businesses.

For fans of the 80’s, the Bandstand also joins the evening programme bringing a sparkling Friday night headline act from Bucks Fizz, featuring three of the original members, as well as nightly concerts ranging from Big Band and James Bond themes to a Back to the 80’s tribute.

Airbourne is a free show and returns from 11 – 14 August with four days of action-packed flying including the RAF Red Arrows, Typhoon, Chinook, The Blades, Breitling Wingwalkers, Jet Provost duo, Team Raven and the Tigers Parachute Display Team.

Fans of the historics can look forward to the Battle of Britain memorial Flight, B-17, Great War Display team, Blenheim Bomber, Mustang, Spitfire, Royal Netherlands Air Force B-25, Belgian Bronco, and the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron’s Vampire and MiG 15.
