Kidzsafe Wristband Scheme at Grand Parade Main Resort Beach

Families can safeguard adventurous children by collecting free Kidzsafe wristbands from the Lifeguard Station, First Aid post, lifeguards and deckchair assistants.

These are brightly coloured waterproof wristbands. Parents add their mobile phone numbers to the brightly coloured waterproof bands in case of separation.

If the children get lost, the lifeguards can quickly call the mobile number on the band to reunite the children with their families.

A beach safety leaflet is also available for adults, including tips for what to do if they lose their children.

The kidzsafe scheme was enhanced last year with free kids' safety packs being handed out on the beach, containing a sachet of sun cream, kids' activity sheet, crayons and factsheet with information about the wristbands.
