Eastbourne Heritage CentreEastbourne Heritage Centre

Discover Eastbourne.. the story of how the town developed into a fashionable, stylish, well-planned Victorian seaside resort. See how it grew and expanded over the years to include a marina today.

Housed in Eastbourne Heritage Centre, a Grade II listed Victorian building, exhibits include original maps, architectural details, artefacts, photographs and scale models of the Bandstand, Winter Garden, Railway Station and Sovereign Harbour.

Popular as a seaside resort for over a hundred years, holidaymakers have taken home postcards, souvenirs and guide books as mementos of happy times spent beside the sea. See our new display of Eastbourne
souvenirs from 19th century to current day featuring: the Pier,
Bandstand, Beachy Head Lighthouse and the town's iconic seaside architecture and scenic Carpet Gardens and seafront promenades. Along with displays of music, theatre and cinema memorabilia.
