Eastbourne’s Devonshire Park – the Duke’s Pleasure Ground
Take a new look at Devonshire Park; see how the Park developed into the main cultural area of the town and it’s continuing use as a sports, theatre, arts and music hub.
Find out about Devonshire Park from its origins in 1870s up to the new "Devonshire Quarter' project - a vision for the Park's future a film presented by Eastbourne’s international tennis champion Johanna Konta that is now under construction with new facilities for the Aegon International, pre-Wimbledon tennis tournaments, designs for a Welcome Building, new conference facilities and restoration of Eastbourne's iconic Listed buildings the 20th century Congress Theatre and the Victorian gems of the Devonshire Park Theatre and Winter Garden.
