Have a fang-tastic Halloween this Half Term

As the nights draw in and with a distinct chill in the air, October might have you screaming with both Halloween and the Half Term holidays on the horizon! 

Don’t fret though; we’ve got some frightfully good ideas to help keep your little horrors happy.

Zombie Walk, Eastbourne Town Centre: 27 October

Meet from 1pm at The Crown and Anchor and have your makeup done with all proceeds going to charity. At 3pm, the zombie walk will make its way from the pub down to Eastbourne Pier and then through the town centre ending at Printers in South Street, accompanied by Stix Drummers. It’ll certainly be a dead good afternoon!

Shriek Week at Drusillas Park: 20 October – 28 October

Allow your wicked side to show this Halloween at Drusillas Park; the award winning zoo has all sorts of seasonal surprises and eerie entertainment planned. Venture through the creepy cobwebbed corridors of Haunted Heights into the terror-tory of sin sisters, Hocus & Pocus as they play hide and shriek with the unsuspecting public! Scuttle along to the Discovery Centre for some creepy crawly encounters throughout the week and meet some amazing mini monsters. Plus the mystical Gruffalo who lives in the deep dark wood will also be joining the fun this Halloween.

Halloween Fun at Blackberry Farm: 22 October -26 October

Little monsters will love the ‘not too scary’ fun at Blackberry Farm, with pumpkin carving, scarecrow trail and bumpy barrel bug rides, there’s plenty to keep them entertained. Plus there’s half price entry for all children who arrive in fancy dress – you’d be ghoul-ish to miss out!

Spook-tacular Train Ride at Bluebell Railway: 24 October -28 October

Are you brave enough to board the train to discover the spooky side of the railway at Horsted Keynes Station? Meet Brigid the witch and her hapless sidekick Brian the wizard who will be your guides to fiendish fun and games, tricks, treats and more. Come in costume and join in the ghostly goings-on – raid the dressing up box, put on the face paint and come as your favourite Halloween character!

Halloween Horrors at Herstmonceaux Castle: 28 October

Come in costume to win Best Dressed Ghost or Best Spook-tacular Family. Plus other activities will include a Decaying Corpse Game, Wizard Storytelling and Frankenstein Bowling. It’s sure to be a be-witching day of fun at the castle.

Halloween Fun and Activities at Knockhatch Adventure Park: 20 October – 28 October

Do you dare experience the fright-fest of ‘Containment’ that lies in wait at Knockhatch? Or maybe you are a fiendishly good ghost hunter. Note down all their ghostly names and, you’ll be in for a spooktastic treat!

Spooky Art at The Art House Café: 23 October – 27 October

Let your little monsters get crafty this Half Term at The Art House café in Grove Road. They can take part in a range of Halloween activities including slime making, clay workshops and monster making too!

With scarily good activities across the Half Term, it’s sure to be a fang-tasticly good Halloween in eerie Eastbourne!
