Eastbourne Walking Festival

About

This walk, lead by Eastbourne Borough Council's Heritage Manager Jonathan Seaman, leaves from Butts Brow Car Park, takes a leisurely stroll around the site of the Beehive Plantation Neolithic Enclosure, then travels along the ridge to the north-west to Combe Hill to see the remains of the Neolithic Causewayed Enclosure, then follows the footpath down into Jevington.  Stop in Jevington Church then through the village and take the next footpath up the valley, passed medieval field systems and back up to Butts Brow. There will be stiles and some steepish slopes to negotiate.  It will be informal and be a discussion about how man has shaped the Downs over 5000 years and why.
