This is for Nordic walkers who’ve reached the Fitness level of Nordic walking. Information about levels of technique is at Nordic Walking Technique.

Steeply up out of the village into Friston Forest then through it along wide woodland tracks with ups & downs into Westdean, then steeply down into Exceat to join the South Downs Way up & down all Seven Sisters into Birling Gap for refreshments/toilet break, then short return up a shallower ascent & brief descent into the village with The Hiker’s Rest Tea Rooms and The Tiger Inn. May be muddy if wet, some exposed stretches
