Celebrate a traditional Victorian-style Christmas in the stunning village of Alfriston, set in South Downs National Park countryside, just outside of Eastbourne.
A torchlit procession with drummers and pipers will mark the start of the festive season, before Santa appears from the window of the Village Store to switch on the Christmas lights.
With late night opening amongst local shops and galleries, the Salvation Army will play festive carols around the fire, with mulled wine and hot chestnuts and much more available from food and craft stalls, with many people in Victorian dress.
Entertainment also includes morris dancers, Scottish pipers, jazz and on the Tye, a Santa's grotto and children's carousel.
Please note all roads will be closed to vehicular traffic, with buses running a park and ride service.
Procession and Christmas lights switch on takes place at dusk.
