Pocket Science

The Pocket Science Festival looks like a funfair; it IS a funfair, but a nugget of science is snuck into every attraction. Designed to teach and delivered by Richard Robinson, the founder of the Spitting Image series, science presenter, Richard also runs the Brighton Science Festival and performs demonstrations worldwide. He has written many books for children about science, including the Science Magic series, which was shortlisted for the Aventis Prize.

Come along to this exciting event designed to take you on a journey into the world of science. Aimed at children aged 7 – 10 years of age, this event is an interactive event with a collection of experiments designed to make science fun.

Richard Robinson is a UK puppeteer, best known for building and voicing puppets for the television series Splitting Image, The Riddlers, Dizzy Heights, and Puddle Lane. He also played Bungle in the 1994-1995 revival of the children’s series Rainbow. Before his puppeteering career, Richard was a busker.

In the mid-1990s, after years taking his children to the Science Museum and related educational events, he found a new outlet as a science busker, visiting schools and festivals with science cabaret acts.
