If you venture to a show at the ‘St Luke’s Centre’, expect a warm welcome. A team of volunteers run this new venture at the St. Luke’s Parish Centre at Stone Cross, (opposite the Red Lion, BN24 5EB). We hire the hall to put on shows with world class acts, in a cosy and intimate venue, with a licensed bar. So far, we have had very positive feedback from previous performers; Gigspanner, Steve Hewlett and Friends, Hal Cruttenden, and Next of Kin, from our local support acts, and also from those who have attended performances.
For our next offering we are having an evening with Martyn Joseph, famous singer / songwriter, and humanitarian, on May 17th. His shows are always full of warmth and emotion, beautiful songs and clear honest views and comments. It will be an evening to remember We also have shows coming up from; Peter Howarth, (Sat June 7th), Gary Delaney, (Friday June 13th) The Noise Next Door, (Sat June 28th), Next of Kin, (Sat 2nd August), and Gigspanner 29th November) (I said that they enjoyed the venue!) and there may be more!
Because we are volunteers, we are able to enjoy what we do, and we hope that this is evidenced by the warmth of your welcome. We have a licensed bar with friendly staff, and help with car parking. There is access for all, with all facilities on site.
