Let's Get Active This Summer

It’s come round to that time of year again, the summer holidays!


6 weeks off in the sunniest resort in the UK, excitable kids wanting to burn off some steam and the longest days of the year. What’s not to love!

This summer will be different we can feel it!

We’ve searched high and low finding you some of the best attractions and activities to keep your off-spring smiling and entertained throughout the entire summer break down on the sunshine coast.


Let’s get active and adventure out into the phenomenal place we have right on our door steps, making the most of its natural beauty.

Abbots Wood walks

 

 

Take a wild walk or country cycle along the trails of Abbots Wood, where the kids can be at one with nature running through the forest, climbing trees and doing what kids do best.

Why not take a delicious picnic and a ball, really making the most of the large grass area. Who knows maybe you’ll start up a ball game tournament with other families!

If you fancy a location where the kids can use a play park, head down to Gildredge Park. There's ample space for kids to run and let off steam, with a large stretching lawn for fun, games and delicious food! Why not treat yourself to an ice cream from the cafe and relax in the sunshine!

Adventure out into the South Downs National park, right on our door step! Explore seeing where the trails take you and what you’ll find on your journey, climb trees, run through forests, roll down the hills and admire the magnificient views from the top we know you’ll fall in love was Eastbourne all over again.

If you’d prefer to sit down with cup of tea (how british, we know) and let the kids run free. Why not head to Knockhatch Adventure Park, with both an indoor and outdoor play area Knockhatch is perfect for all weathers! Get up close and personal with the animals, watch in owe at the Owl display’s or catch a ride on the quadapillar. If you’re feeling daring why not try out the 32 foot tower slide known as the wave runner, racing family or friends. We think it’s a guaranteed successful day for all ages!

Paddle boarding inEastbourne seaWhy not head down to Buzz Active at Eastbourne or Cuckmere and take part in a session or course and learn a new water sport. With a range of different sports available there’s always something for everyone! Friday Fun at Buzz Eastbourne offers a dip into various sports so you can gain a little taster and chose your favourite! Or head down to Buzz at Cuckmere and try your hand at paddle boarding, learning to effectively manage your board safely whilst having a blast on the Cuckmere meanders.

If kayaking is more your thing why not head to the beach opposite the wish tower slopes and hire a kayak for the afternoon, single or double and see our spectacular town from the sea.


Go on branch out and try something new this summer, making it a summer to remember!
