Stone Cross Windmill

About

Stone Cross Windmill was built in 1875/6 and was in full operation up to the end of the 1930's. It fell into disrepair and eventually was taken over by Stone Cross Mill Trust with the aim of restoring it and preserving for future generations. It is now a fully working windmill, producing stone ground wholemeal flour was is sold in both the Mill and in local outlets. The Mill is open on Sunday afternoons from 2-5pm during the summer months, also on Bank Holidays and other special occasions. Guided tours of the Mill are given as required and there is a cafe on site - cream teas are also available for pre-booked groups.
