International Tennis News
Britain's biggest international womens tennis event, the International Women's Open, is held every year at Eastbourne's Devonshire Park. Featuring many of the world's top players, the current champion is Justine Henin.
The tournament enjoyed its best ever year in 2007 with record attendance. Crowds enjoyed a glamorous Ladies Day, tennis themed cocktails, shopping, live music and exclusive hospitality. Local school children also took part in new coaching initiative Tennis on the Beach.
The tournament returns from 14 - 21 June 2008. Telephone 01323 412000 for more information.

Men and Women's Tennis in Eastbourne
Justine Henin and Andy Murray could both play at Devonshire Park next year as the LTA confirm they will merge the women's and men's international grass court events from 2009.

Tennis fans don't have to wait any longer as tickets for this year's International Women's Open tennis championships go on sale.
