Participants MUST bring their own hydration for around the course as there will be reduced water provision than previously. Hydration belts, hydration packs or camelbak are recommended for this. We offer a variety of bananas, mars bars and sausage rolls on the course. Should you require energy bars, gels or energy drinks it would be advisable to bring your own. Parking is available on the seafront and surrounding areas. We recommend you arrive early to guarantee yourself a space nearer the start/finish line. Please do not arrive at the holding pen before your designated time slot. This time slot will be emailed to you 2 weeks prior to the event.
Unfortunately, in-ear headphones are banned from the event, however bone conducting versions are allowed. This is a decision based around the helath and safety of all competitors as we need to ensure all instructions from marshals are observed and to advise other competitors of an imminent overtake so social distancing is able to be observed.
Elements that we are unable to include due to social distancing: Baggage area, indoor changing facility, canteen, physio, swimming pool, mass start, spectators dissuaded from attending, dogs/canine banned for 2021, in-ear headphones banned (bone conducting allowed).
We are introducing starting waves for each race category again this year to assist with social distancing. We will request your predicted times and if they are similar to your friends, it is likely you will be in the same starting pen. You must maintain social distancing during the event and you should not congregate in groups.
