Countdown to Christmas with Eastbourne’s Christmas Light Switch On, check you’re on the nice list at one of Santa’s grottos around town (he gets around!), shout 'he's behind you!' with two pantomimes to choose from, and so much more! 

Whatever your favourite festive activity, it couldn't be easier to arrive by train. We’ve teamed up with Southern Railway to give away two prize bundles of train tickets to Eastbourne, ensuring you have a festive day trip to remember!

Terms and conditions

By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to be bound by the following terms:

• the terms of National Rail Conditions of Travel
• The prize is off peak day return train tickets to Eastbourne from anywhere on the Southern, Thameslink and Great Northern network. Valid for use until 31 December 2025. Please see southernrailway.com for confirmation of off-peak times for your journey. 
• To enter, entrants must complete the entry form on the competition page.
• Only one entry per person will be entered into the prize draw.
• Competition closes at 23:59 on 23 November 2025. Any requests after this will not be included in the prize draw.
• Two winners will be selected at random from entries received and verified by Promoter and contacted on 24 November 2025 via the email provided as part of their entry. Prize will be awarded to the name used to enter the prize draw.
• The winners must respond to confirm acceptance of their prize by 26 November 2025. Failure to respond by this date will result in forfeiting the prize and another winner being chosen.
• Travel expenses outside of the Southern, Thameslink and Great Northern network are at the winner’s own cost. 
• Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods and services.
• The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
• Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.  Data will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

• VisitEastbourne’s decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
