About
Autumn de Wilde, 2019 (U), 124 mins
Due to screen before we had to close, our Missed Connections series features films we felt deserved an outing on the big screen.
Jane Austen’s beloved comedy is reimagined in this delicious new film adaptation of Emma. Handsome, clever and rich, Emma Woodhouse considers herself something of a match-maker but soon finds her plans aren’t quite panning out as she had imagined. Featuring a starry line up of talent – both established and upcoming – including Bill Nighy, Josh O’Connor (The Crown), Johnny Flynn (Beast) and comedian Miranda Hart.
Screening on 5 November will be captioned.
