Details

England’s largest festival of culture and history returns this September with ten days of festival fun to discover! Celebrating 25 years this year, Heritage Open Days invites you to explore some of the most fascinating sites across the UK, with a special focus on the theme of ‘People Power’.

Telling the stories from local communities who play a role in ensuring their heritage is celebrated and maintained, there is so much to explore!

Wander through a fascinating 13th century medieval farmhouse at Wilmington Priory, or discover one of the only remnants of the medieval Great Manor Farm of Bourne.

With behind the scenes tours at Eastbourne’s oldest Victorian theatre and interesting talks and storytelling at selected venues, there’s something for every heritage explorer to enjoy.

For full line-up of events taking place in Eastbourne and the surrounding areas, visit the Heritage Open Days website.
