If you've ever stood in a historic building, there is always an atmosphere, a sense of place, of past, of people. In some cases, traces of the past can be seen etched into the very fabric of the building. Each mark is a story - the who, what, where and most interestingly, why.

This project started in St. Mary's Church in Old Town, Eastbourne and has grown from there. Using archaeological recording methods, the project aims were to create a detailed digital record of historic graffiti in Sussex.
