Grace Lau’s Portraits In a Chinese Studio will be travelling to Eastbourne this February! To celebrate Chinese New Year, artist Grace Lau invites you to get your FREE photo taken inside a reimagined 19th century Chinese portrait studio. 

Visit Grace at 234 Terminus Road, Eastbourne, BN21 3DE from 9 – 25 February. Open Thursday to Sunday, 11.00am–4.00pm. Drop in or book your slot in advance. Book here

Portraits In a Chinese Studio is part of Co-Creating Public Space, a new project led by John Hansard Gallery inviting communities to creatively engage with artists and creatives to rethink the use of the public space in Southampton, and beyond. Presented in partnership with Eastbourne ALIVE and Towner Gallery.

About Grace Lau

Born in London of Chinese parentage, Grace is a practicing photographer, artist, writer and lecturer. She has an MA in Photography and Culture from UAI.
Grace specialises in opening up Chinese identity and Western views of the Chinese as well as exploring the world of sexuality, gender identity and fetishism through photography. She has exhibited widely, including at the National Portrait Gallery, Tate Britain, Photofusion London, Aberystwyth Arts Centre and Turner Contemporary.
