HAILSHAM CHORAL SING ROSSINI AT ST SAVIOUR'S EASTBOURNE

Hailsham Choral will be performing Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle on Saturday 11 November 2023 at 7.30pm at St Saviour's Church, Eastbourne.

Despite its title, the Petite Messe Solennelle is neither small nor solemn. The full length mass is operatic in flavour and its tunefulness is typical of the composer. It has charm and elegance and, at times, exuberance. At other times it has pathos and power.

We are lucky to have the wonderful talents of local soloists, soprano Noa Lachman, alto Rebecca Hughes and tenor Andrew Wicks, as well as the renowned bass James Oldfield from Surrey performing with us. Colin Hughes and Andrew Wilson will perform on the piano and harmonium. Hailsham Choral, under the leadership of our inspirational musical director Jozik Kotz, aim to deliver a truly moving and enjoyable musical evening.
