The Palm Court Strings Afternoon Tea

About

The Grand is proud of its rich musical heritage and is passionate about bringing high-quality performances to guests and visitors... and 2023 is no exception! We are still passionate about live music, and look forward to sharing this with you this year.

On selected Sundays throughout the year (see below), relax in timeless elegance and step back to the bygone age at the Grand Hotel's Palm Court Strings Afternoon Tea. Savour delectable treats inspired by the late 1920s accompanied by live entertainment from Shelley Van Loen and her Palm Court Quartet wearing original Period attire.

Enjoy finger-cut tea sandwiches and a generous slice of Chef's fresh homemade seasonal fresh Gâteau each, freshly baked scones and Sussex Charmer & tomato quiche accompanied by a choice of Tea, Coffee, Fruit or Herbal Infusion.

... and why not upgrade to a glass of Champagne or try one of our 1920's themed cocktails?

Perfect Sunday afternoons are spent here whilst traditional Afternoon Tea is served between 3.00pm – 5.30pm...
