Family Fun in February Half-Term

After what has felt like the longest January ever, February is finally here and so is the first half-term of 2018! It’s time to let the little ones run wild while you put together an agenda packed with playdates and copious coffees. We’ve listed a few top activities to enjoy in Eastbourne across the half-term providing the perfect blend of theatre shows, adventure days and visits from childhood heroes.

10-11 Feb: Meet Owlette, Catboy and Gekko from PJ Masks at Spa Valley Railway

Children’s favourites from the PJ Masks will be on hand to see their fans arriving on classic steam trains from Tunbridge Wells West at Spa Valley Railway. Waving hello to kids on Saturday 10th Feb is Owlette and Catboy, while Owlette and Gekko make an appearance on Sunday 11th Feb! Kids can also travel on the vintage loco motions for just £1 on the 15th, 24th and 25th Feb, the perfect low cost day out.

10-18 Feb: Wild About Wildlife Week at Spring Barn Farm

With lambs expected to be born in time for February half-term, this is the perfect chance to learn all about lambing on the farm. Enjoy all the usual fun of the farm including daily ‘Meet the Animals’ sessions, indoor and outdoor play, as well as hands-on activities including ‘Build Your Own Bird Feeder’ and ‘It’s a Hoot Mask Making’!

13 Feb: Pancake Race in Eastbourne Town Centre

Who doesn’t love pancakes? In between the last minute Nutella dash to the shop, More Radio and St Wilfrid’s Hospice will be getting crowds warmed up for the annual Pancake Race in the Town Centre (Bankers Corner) from 1-3pm. If watching those pancakes flying is tempting, a pancake truck will be onsite for those sweet cravings!

14-17 Feb: Disney’s Cinderella (Kids) at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre

The Royal Hippodrome Community Theatre and Rattonian Youth Group present Disney’s Cinderella. The timeless “rags to riches” fairytale is an adaptation of the treasured film that will charm its way into your heart and remind audiences that dreams really can come true! If you’d like a fairytale experience all of your own, we’re also giving away a family ticket until February 8th which you can enter here!

14 Feb: Skye and Rubble from PAW Patrol at Drusillas Park

Get ready for action as two of PAW Patrol’s finest recruits, Skye and Rubble, appear for the very first time at Drusillas Park! Youngsters can say hello to the heroic pups in the Events Arena at intervals throughout the day.

15 Feb: Wallace and Gromit: A Grand Day Out (Family Matinee) at Towner Art Gallery

This iconic mini-movie is screening at the Towner Art Gallery for a family matinee followed by free Wallace and Gromit themed creative activities afterwards! Things take an unexpected turn when Wallace and Gromit take a trip to the moon in their first adventure, A Grand Day Out. After building their own rocket and heading to space in search of cheese, what could possibly go wrong?!

15 Feb: Hello Kitty at Drusillas Park

Come and meet the cutest kitty in the land at her very own Hello Kitty house and garden! In between having a spin on the teacups, riding the Hello Kitty cars or heading for the clouds on the Hopper Ride, you can meet and greet the girl herself at intervals throughout the day.
