Spring has sprung in Eastbourne and brought with it sunny days, lighter evenings and a cracking Easter holiday line up! These creative, crafty and cheerful events are the perfect way to embrace the blissful spring air and keep your little ones busy during the Easter holidays!

The sweet scent of blossoming flowers is best enjoyed in the height of spring, so why not spend a day at the stunning Arlington Bluebell Walk and Farm Trail from 8 April? The stunning floral backdrop is one of a kind and makes for the perfect photograph so you can look back and remember your fabulous day out!

There’s plenty of nature inspired events with arts and crafts sessions at Seven Sisters Country Park this Easter, including a two-day Woodland and Willow Basket Making course on 1-2 April and the Spring Spectacular on 12 April, both wonderful opportunities to get crafty in the barn!

For those with a sweet tooth, the Miniature Steam Railway Park will be hosting the Easter Eggspress on 16 April where children can journey around the beautiful country park on a miniature locomotive and get their hands on some Easter eggs!

Stargazing Nights Redoubt

Inside the newly re-opened Redoubt Fortress, there’s an Easter Trail waiting to be explored! Children can explore the Fortress to find the Redoubt Rabbit and make spectacular spring crafts such as Easter baskets, fluffy chicks and spring flowers from 1-16 April.

As lighter evenings make an appearance, the final Stargazing evening of the season kicks off the Easter holidays at the Redoubt Fortress on 1 April. Star spotters will have the chance to catch Mercury and Jupiter in the sky, with a free talk from the Eastbourne Astronomy Society about the “Patterns in the Sky”.

At Drusillas Park, spring has brought with it plenty of new arrivals; from the animals to the rides! Making an appearance for the first time are the Giant Anteaters and newly born animals including a beautiful baby Saki monkey and a silvery marmoset.

Just in time for the Easter holidays, the exciting new African themed train ride, Safari Express, will open its doors as it transports passengers around the park with lots of fun along the way! On selected dates throughout April, children will also be able to meet their heroes at the park including Hello Kitty, Bing and Flop as well as Chase and Marshall from PAW Patrol.

There’s plenty to see, do and taste when visiting Eastbourne’s seafront across the April Bank Holiday weekend, including a sumptuous Continental Market. Sample the delights of the Continent as the seafront is transformed into a bustling European market place offering mouth-watering cuisines and fine quality goods from Marseille soaps to handmade children’s toys!

Follow the stretch of stalls from the promenade by the Pier to Eastbourne’s iconic Bandstand for the annual free Easter concert where locals and visitors will come together for a joyous concert, overlooking the seafront. The ‘Eastbourne Silver Band’ will be providing the entertainment for the weekend! Later in the month, the Bandstand will begin another unmissable summer season of live music by the sea on the 28 April!

With cracking events on every day throughout the Easter holidays, the whole family can embrace Eastbourne’s lovely spring weather!
