Eastbourne's spacious seafront lawns, hosts many events throughout the summer. Located just west of the Wish Tower slopes and opposite the Grand Hotel.
These beaches are sand and shingle with good access and parking close by. They are within easy reach of shops and amenities with toilets and refreshments a short distance away.
There were 74 Martello Towers built on the south coast between Folkestone and Seaford. Originally the tower immediately to the east of the Eastbourne Redoubt Fortress was numbered 1.
