Elton John and The Jam Amongst Toe-Tapping Tributes at UK’s Busiest Bandstand

Eastbourne Bandstand’s longest running season continues with legendary tributes, traditional concert music and impressive firework finales. Taking centre stage this week is The Jam tribute, Total Jam, performing on Friday 22 September. Audiences can prepare to “Feel the Love” as Jimmy Love and his band recreate Sir Elton John’s greatest performances on Saturday 23 September.

Transporting audiences back to the late 1970’s punk era is Total Jam, the UK’s leading tribute to The Jam. Donning smartly tailored suits and playing replica instruments, Total Jam recreate the signature look, sound and feel of Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler. Audiences can expect to hear a wide range of hits from across their musical career including “Going Underground”, “Town Called Malice”, “News of the World” and many more well-known songs.

Recreating the ultimate Elton John experience is Jimmy Love who both looks and sounds just as incredible as the real deal. Since 2007, Jimmy has been honing his performance as Sir Elton John to deliver a breathtakingly accurate concert featuring hits such as “Your Song”, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” amongst a variety of singalong tunes.

Doors and the bar open at 7.00pm with the concert kicking off at 8.00pm for an evening of entertainment. Ticket prices start at £7.75 for adults and £5.50 for children, with 10% discount for Friends of the Bandstand.

Relive the punk era with Total Jam as they recreate the iconic look and sound of The Jam that dominated the late 1970s. Enjoy a nostalgic evening featuring hits including “Going Underground”, “Strange Town” and “Down in the Tube Station”.

Elton John Tribute
Saturday 23 September at 8pm
Jimmy Love and his band recreate the ultimate Elton John experience in this exciting and energetic concert. Jimmy not only poses an uncanny resemblance but also nails Elton John’s signature sound that audiences know and love as he performs hits including “Tiny Dancer”, “I’m Still Standing” and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”.

Traditional Sunday Afternoon Concert with Eastbourne Silver Band
Sunday 24 September at 3pm
The Eastbourne Silver Band return to the Bandstand for an afternoon concert filled with classical, modern, march and pop music.

1812 Firework Concert
Wednesday 27 September at 8pm
The iconic tradition that is celebrated every Wednesday evening returns for a culmination of concert music ending triumphantly with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture accompanied by a spectacular Firework display.
