Bandstand Welcomes Welsh Wonders and Giants of Rock to the Seafront

Audiences will be ‘Climbing the Stairway to Heaven’ with their ‘Handbags and Gladrags’ on the weekend of 28 & 29 September as the seafront venue plays host for the first time to tribute performances from Stereophonics and Led Zeppelin.

On Friday 28 September, Stereotonics bring the sounds of Welsh band, Stereophonics to the stage, treating lovers of these festival favourites to a fantastic set list of hits. From ‘Just Looking’ ‘Have a Nice Day’ and ‘Pick a Part That’s New’ through to some of the groups more recent tracks including ‘Caught by the Wind’.

Formed in 1999 Stereotonics have a wealth of gigging experience and after over 10 years on the road, they can claim to have played more shows than both the real band themselves and any other Stereophonics tribute band in the country! Lead singer of the tribute group, Paul is now well known to the ‘Phonics and has even been told that his own band sound as good as the original.

There will be a ‘Whole Lotta Love’ on Saturday 29 September as Letz Zep recreate the rocking sounds of Led Zeppelin. Officially the number one tribute act to the British super group, Letz Zep have convinced not only the critics, but also achieved the praise of former members of Led Zeppelin themselves.

Officially the number one tribute act to the British super group, Letz Zep have convinced not only the critics, but also achieved the praise of former members of Led Zeppelin themselves.

Led Zeppelin are widely considered one of the most successful, innovative, and influential rock groups in history. They are one of the best-selling music artists in the history of audio recording; various sources estimate the group's record sales at 200 to 300 million units worldwide.

Tickets cost £7.95 in advance (child £5.95) and doors open at 7pm for an 8pm performances. Friends of Eastbourne Bandstand card holders receive 10% off their ticket.

The Eastbourne Silver Band will be entertaining audiences on Sunday 30 September as part of the Traditional Afternoon concert. Doors and bar open at 2:30pm with the concert starting at 3:00pm and finishing at approximately 4:30pm.

Tickets for the Traditional Afternoon cost £3.50 (child £2.00).
