Calling Time on the Eastbourne Beer Festival Tour 2018

20 November 2018

After two months and hundreds of pints pulled, the Eastbourne Beer Festival on Tour, sponsored by Harvey’s Brewery, ends on Monday 26 November with a closing night event at The Eagle pub from 6.30pm.

Beer Festival Tour 2018Since the touring festival began at the end of September, ale and cider lovers have sampled some of the county’s finest local brews and have discovered many of the 32 pubs across Eastbourne, Pevensey, Polegate and Seaford that formed part of the ale trail.

Many of those who took part in the tour have been using their festival passport to collect stamps at all the venues they visited with the opportunity to win prizes once the tour has ended. Those who have achieved 20 stamps will all take home an exclusive festival tour t-shirt and those ale aficionados who may have secured 25 stamps will all be entered into a prize draw to win an exclusive tour of the Harvey’s brewery in Lewes.

Eastbourne Borough Council Lead Cabinet Member for Tourism and Enterprise, Cllr Margaret Bannister said “It was great to see so many people enjoying the beer festival while it has been on tour this autumn. While the annual October beer festival was on hiatus, this festival provided a great opportunity for ale lovers to visit many of our local pubs and country inns and I’m pleased to report that many did just that, with hundreds of passports being handed out during the past two months. Even though this festival might be coming to a close, make a note to join us for the return of the ever popular Beer & Cider by the Sea on the Western Lawns in May 2019!”

Other dates for the diary include the return next year of the Eastbourne Beer Festival from 10 – 12 October at a newly refurbished venue.
