Enjoy a singing ‘Summer Holiday’ at the Bandstand

Reproducing the sounds and the moves of one of popular music’s most timeless performers, Jimmy Jemain and The Undercover Shadows will pay tribute to Cliff Richard on Saturday 11 August at the Eastbourne Bandstand.


Jimmy Jermaine at Eastbourne BandstandThe Peter Pan of pop has an impressive back catalogue of songs right from his first release ‘Move It’ in 1958 through to the present day. Both with The Shadows and on his own, Cliff has been entertaining crowds all across the world for over 60 years!

Jimmy Jemain was recently voted the UK’s number 1 Sir Cliff Richard tribute artist at the 2018 National Tribute Awards and he’s been performing as Cliff for over 30 years since his first appearance on Stars in Their Eyes in 1991. So for all ‘Bachelor Boys’ and ‘Devil Women’ this night will certainly get audiences ‘Wired for Sound’

‘Stop! In the Name of Love’ on Friday 10 August when The Arrindell Sisters bring the soulful Motown sounds of The Supremes to the seafront venue. Their ‘Spirit of Soul and Motown’ show is a tribute to the classic hits of this famous American female vocal group, that are still played around the world, even 60 years after they were first released. The sisters will bring their fun, sassy and elegant vibe to the stage with disco, funk and jazz added in for good measure.

Tickets cost £7.95 in advance (child £5.95) and doors open at 7pm for an 8pm performances. Friends of Eastbourne Bandstand card holders receive 10% off their ticket.

The Arrindell Sisters at Eastbourne BandstandOn Sunday 12 August, the Bandstand will host a fusion of both contemporary and classic sounds. At 3pm, the Traditional Afternoon Concert is performed by Brass Fusion this will then be followed by an evening of modern hits performed in a retro style by Gatsby’s Jukebox.

The Gatsby's Jukebox repertoire features all the best in modern popular music, including favourites by Beyonce, Rihanna, Megan Trainor and Daft Punk, but performed in the style of 1920’s Gatsby jazz style. They are sure to get the crowd swinging in the aisles!

Tickets for the Traditional Afternoon cost £3.50 (child £2.00), for Gatsby’s Jukebox £7.95 in advance (child £5.95).
