ABBA Fever Reignites With Tribute On Eastbourne Bandstand

The Swedish hit band ABBA are making a comeback in the form of tribute act ‘ABBA Fever’, returning to Eastbourne for their ever popular performance on Friday 18 August, bringing with them the glittering cat suit lycra and sky-high platforms of the 70’s.

Currently in their celebratory 20th year of performing as an act, ABBA Fever are one of the most successful touring ABBA tribute acts around, covering the whole country and further afield with appearances.

They encompass their sheer passion and enthusiasm for the Swedish band into every performance, providing audiences with a realistic ABBA experience every time.

The 5-piece live band has an extensive compilation of musical experience embedded in them, enabling the performers to have perfected their vocals to provide an authentic show for their audience, transporting them back to the 70’s.

ABBA devotees can become a ‘Dancing Queen’ swaying and singing along to the performance of the number one hits ‘Waterloo’ and ‘Mamma Mia’, performed alongside an extensive repertoire of ABBA originals. ABBA Fever will mesmerize audiences with their choreography and outstanding costumes, bringing the ABBA frenzy to Eastbourne relighting visitors love for the world’s most popular band.

Taking Eastbourne into the world of 50’s Rock ‘n’ Roll, ‘Rock Til Ya Drop’ will be entertaining audiences on Eastbourne Bandstand with a debut performance on Saturday 19 August.

The four piece band, featuring a double bass, drum set, guitarist and vocalist all have a history of music behind them. Spending the last few years bringing their sensational musical abilities and love for Rock ‘n’ Roll together, they recreate classic 50’s Rock ‘n’ Roll and rockabilly sets, performing across the country.

Rock Til Ya Drop showcase a wide selection of Rock ‘n’ Roll hit classics including numbers from Elvis, The Coasters, Carl Perkins and many more. A unique act for audiences to experience for the first time in Eastbourne Saturday 19 August.

Doors and the bar open at 7.00pm with the concert kicking off at 8.00pm for an evening of entertainment. Ticket prices start at £7.75 for adults and £5.50 for children, with 10% discount for Friends of the Bandstand.

Reserve Airbourne seating in the Bandstand for the day to ensure uninterrupted viewing of flying displays. There are three areas of the Bandstand to choose from with seats being available from 11am-5:30pm.

Dj Oli is returning to continue the summer season, entertaining audiences with pop chart classics and family favourites with conga around the bandstand and facepainting.

1812 Firework Concert With Wealden Brass
Wednesday 23 August 8pm
Featuring Wealden Brass performing from their extensive repertoire of traditional brass classics and movie hit, alongside their signature ‘Sussex By The Sea’. Concluding their performance with the traditional Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture accompanied by a spectacular Firework display.

The Big Band & Swing Sound with The Brighton Big Band
Thursday 24 August 8pm
This week’s Big Band & Swing Sound features The Brighton Big Band one of Brighton’s longest established big bands, performing a complex mix of Miller, Stevie Wonder and Thad Jones along with a Sinatra repertoire.
