Beach Life Festival Returns with Supersize Stand Up Paddleboard Races and Epic Outdoor Stunts

Beach Life Festival returns to Eastbourne’s famous seafront on 15-16 July to kick off the summer holidays with an adventure filled weekend showcasing extreme sports both at land and sea, including the chance to race on ginormous XL Paddleboards!

The south coast’s coolest and fastest free sports festival features a huge line up of attractions, displays and outdoor pursuits, starting at 11am on both days. Visitors can kick back and watch the experts perform stunts, enjoy the roller derby or try out a new sport for themselves with Buzz Active’s water sport sessions for windsurfing and sailing.

For those seeking even more adrenaline, Buzz Active will be hosting an XL Stand up Paddleboard Race! With supersize paddle boards which are able to hold six people at a time, the competition is sure to be fantastic fun as two teams battle to victory and try not to fall off in the process! The races will take place from 2.30-4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday, each team will be made up of six people per paddleboard at £5 per person.

Beach Life Festival hosts a variety of sports competitions for audiences to watch including the only outdoor roller derby tournament in Europe which will be back to challenge teams from across the country as well as Battle Extreme, the UK’s largest slalom competition!

Adding to the festival vibes, the VW Bus Stop will be returning as the cruise of Campers, Beetles and Beach Buggies makes its way down to Eastbourne’s seafront. The Beach Life music stage will be packed with live performances across Saturday and Sunday, the perfect accompaniment to extreme sports.

The entertainment will continue into the evening with Eastbourne Music Live making a return from 15-22 July at The Under Ground Theatre, featuring the Little Music Marathon on 21 July! All musical events begin at 7.30pm.
