On Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October, the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital will be hosting their 17th annual Autumn Art Exhibition at St Andrew's Prep school gym in Meads. Open from 10am to 4pm each day, entrance is free and the Friends welcome all visitors, from art enthusiasts to the simply curious. All visitors will have the opportunity to leave a vote for their favourite painting – or indeed the option to buy artwork – with highlights of the weekend including a painting demonstration at 2pm on Saturday 22rd by local artist Jackie Hurwood, the raffle of a painting donated by local artist Robert Stevens, and a silent auction for a painting donated by local artist Alan Everard. Family-friendly and open to all, this will be an engaging event, and all money raised at the exhibition will go towards the Friends' 2022 Special Project of raising £500,000 for a vital replacement of the Da Vinci Robot in Urology.
