Holywell Retreat

About

Holywell Retreat is set at the foot of the South Downs, this quant little enclave boasts a popular café, beach huts and beach chalets. The Dotto land stops here.

This section of coastline provides rock pools full of marine life at low tide, pretty Italian gardens and the dramatic chalk cliffs of Beachy Head.

Dogs are welcome on these beaches but must be kept under control.

Eastbourne Beach is recommended in the Good Beach Guide by the Marine Conservation Society.

Beach Chalets

Holywell Beach Chalets offer you a safe area close to the sea for you and your family to use as a daytime base. We have 69 chalets situated at the western end of the promenade, close to the delightful Italian Gardens at Holywell.

Beach Huts

We have a small selection of large or small hut, located at the end of the promenade close to amenities.

Film/TV Location

Holywell and the surrounding pebble beach have featured in Eastenders, Christmas
at the Riviera, Miss Marple, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and also Phill Collins’ music video ‘You’ll be in my Heart’.

Rock Pooling
