The Grand Hotel

About

The most luxurious of hotels in Eastbourne.

The finest 5 Star hotel by the sea in Sussex, it's no wonder The Grand is often referred to as "A Palace By the Sea"…

Affectionately known as The White Palace, the Grand Hotel Eastbourne commands breathtaking views of the sea and the dramatic cliffs at Beachy Head. Grand not only by name but also by nature, The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne is not only the only 5 star luxury resort to be found in an English seaside town, we’re also one of the friendliest.

Whether staying with us as a hotel guest or just looking for a great choice when eating out in Eastbourne, you can enjoy a menu based around traditional British favourites created with a modern twist in the Garden Room Restaurant. The menus are inspired by what our chefs source locally, including fresh fish and the best produce that the surrounding Sussex farms have to offer. Across the Great Hall, you’ll find the Cocktail Bar and Lounge, where you can enjoy afternoon tea, pre-dinner drinks, or a light lunch.

The Mirabelle Restaurant has celebrated numerous awards, accolades and critical notices from the UK’s top food writers. As well as being considered one of the finest restaurants in Eastbourne, The Independent voted the Mirabelle in the top 50 best restaurants in the UK, and it has featured regularly in the Good Food Guide for many years. The Mirabelle serves an exquisite modern European menu of seasonal specialities that play creatively with flavours and textures, and which are complemented by an extremely well-chosen wine list. Just as impressive is the elegant splendour of the beautifully furnished dining room itself, which you can enter either directly from the hotel or via its own discreet side entrance, and is a quiet haven that attracts romantic couples, small business groups and devotees of gourmet dining.

Children are most welcome as is traditional at a seaside hotel. We provide a welcome bag full of goodies and have children menus available in the Garden Room and Lounge.

Many attractions both in the hotel and around Eastbourne have made The Grand a favourite and effortless place for families. Temporary membership of the Health Club is included for all resident guests. Indoor and outdoor heated pools, spa bath, saunas and steam room and full gym are among the facilities as well as 8 health and beauty treatment suites with trained therapists waiting to massage your stresses away or provide a beautifying facial. Many other treatments are, of course, available including hairdressing.

The Grand has 17 private dining and meeting rooms which regularly accommodate small intimate parties or international conferences. Special rooms include two semi-private balconies overlooking the famous great Hall where the BBC broadcast the programme "Grand Hotel" for many years.

On-site parking facilities are available for resident guests. In the summer season, we recommend pre booking to guarantee a space.
