Let's Get Creative This Summer!

31 July 2017

Use this year’s summer holiday to get your creative head on and partake in an activity to be proud of. Memories last a life time why not create some with your kids that they’ll never forget?

We’ve found so many amazing places to take your kids this summer. Why not join in with one of Lucy’s little forest school activities at Wilderness Woods? You can take part in bear hunts, investigating the shapes and sounds of the forest on the lookout for a bear, bug searches looking under logs and in trees to find and identify a magnitude of creepy crawlies. Have fun with Robin Hood days turning the woods into Sherwood Forest with games and challenges, also arts and crafts by trying your hand at felting! There’s so many activities to choose from you’ll be spoilt for choice! Lucy’s little forest school activities feature on various days across the summer, so check out the website for more details Don’t miss out on all the fun!

Why not combine a foodie and creative trip together by visiting The Art House Creative Café in Eastbourne. You certainly won’t be disappointed by their wide selection of food and drink available, something for everyone! Especially as they have an array of activities for you to take part in as well. Try your hand at pottery painting and create something to be proud of, available every day. Or if you want your kids to learn some new skills in the kitchen why not book them into a cookery class where the kids get to learn and enjoy their very own food. Who knows, maybe they’ll be the next Jamie Oliver! Unwind with the relaxing art classes and sand art, create a master piece you can be proud of. If fashion is more your kids thing why not let them create their own t-shirts and be the envy of all their friends, wearing them with pride. Or let them create a cushion to go proudly on your sofa. The options really are endless all guaranteed to put a smile on your little ones face!
The Observatory Science Centre

Interested in the space above us? Want to learn more about the stars? Aspiring astronomer? Just take a trip down to The Observatory science centre with a wide selection of workshops available for different age groups, catering for all! Teaching kids to be creative and learn about the sky above them. It’s an ideal opportunity to learn ahead of the classroom and find out some insider knowledge from experts who know exactly what they’re talking about. Each workshop is unique meaning no two days are the same, why not book into more than one workshop and become an expert of space!

We all know everyone loves the summer fruits that pop up in their masses at this glorious time of year. The one place we always think of heading is down to Sharnfold Farm to pick our favourite fruits. There’s nothing more fun than hunting out the best of the crop and picking to your hearts content to fill your basket. It’s a day to put a smile on your whole families face and fill their tummies happily. Make sure you visit the café with home grown produce to munch on and let the kids run around the play park whilst you relax and put your feet up, enjoying a well earnt cuppa.

This is the summer to remember, to be free and let your creative imagination run wild.
