Welcome to The Sheldon - a unique, independent B&B where hospitality meets heart.

Located on a quiet street just 100m from Eastbourne’s seafront and a short stroll from the theatre district, Towner Gallery, and dozens of great pubs and restaurants, we offer a truly memorable stay. We’re not a chain, and we’re proud of it. Our 20-room Victorian property blends comfort, creativity, and community. Expect original murals and local art throughout, a colourful lounge and breakfast room, and a kaleidoscope of thoughtful details.

Start your day with a generous breakfast - including hot dishes made to order - and unwind in our honesty bar with locally brewed beer, cider, wine, and snacks. Enjoy our sunny new gardens with outdoor seating, or sip single-origin coffee and organic Clipper teas in our cosy lounge.

We offer free private parking for all guests, hypoallergenic Yorkshire-made toiletries, and a certified plastic-free commitment. You’ll also meet CK, our resident Cavapoo, who’s as charming as he is cuddly.
